Wooly Bully Mutton Bustin’ series returns to downtown San Angelo

Downtown San Angelo, Inc., in conjunction with Suddenlink, Republic Services and Fast Signs of San Angelo will host its annual Wooly Bully Mutton Bustin’ series April 16 at 112 E. Concho Ave.

Pre-registration is from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 7, 13, 14 and 15 at the DTSA office, 24 W. Concho Ave. Because of time limits, DSA will only accept registration for the first 30 children to participate in the mutton bustin’ event. The rodeo/agrarian-based events are open to children ages 4-10.

Events include:

Mutton Bustin’: For ages 5-10. All participants must weight less than 50 lbs. Cost is $10 per child.

Stick Horse Barrel Races: Three flights for children ages 2-6. Cost is $2 per child.

Boot Scramble: Three flights for children ages 2-8. Cost is $2 per child.

Tractor Pull: Children ages 5-8 can test their strength with a weighted pedal tractor that is harder to pull closer to the finish line. Cost is $5 per child.

Petting Zoo: $3 per child.

Pony Rides: $5 per child.

Activities available free of charge for children include a duck pond, face painting, a cut-out photo opportunity and more.

Opening ceremonies will be performed by the Concho Chicks Drill Team. Events will be concluded with an awards ceremony with trophies for the top mutton busters. Each participant will receive a participation ribbin.
