Woman tries to walk across the Arizona border with meth taped to her legs

A 26-year-old Mexican woman was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents last week after she was caught trying to walk across the Arizona border with methamphetamine taped to her shins.

According to a press release, U.S. CBP officers at the Port of Nogales arrested the woman when she attempted to enter the United States on Aug. 16 with more than five lbs. of meth on her legs.

Officers at the Morley pedestrian crossing selected the Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, resident for a secondary inspection and found the packages of meth.

They seized the drugs, worth more than $15,000, and referred her to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
