Woman fatally stabbed at San Antonio Walmart parking lot; female suspect still at large

A woman in her 30s thought to be connected to a fatal stabbing of another woman is being sought by San Antonio Police, said spokesman Sgt. Jesse Salame.

The stabbing took place Sunday night in the parking lot of a Walmart on the west side of San Antonio.

Police were dispatched to the retail store at about 6 p.m. for the report of a cutting. Officers arrived to find a woman in her 30s lying on the ground with a stab wound to her chest. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, according to mysanantonio.com.

According to witnesses, the altercation between the two women began and ended in the parking lot. Authorities believe the women knew each other and likely arrived at the store together.
