The Collings Foundation Wings of Freedom Tour will visit San Angelo Regional Airport/Mathis Field at 8926 Hangar Road on Monday, April 2 through Wednesday, April 4.
The display will run from 1-5 p.m. on Monday, 9-5 p.m. on Tuesday and 9-12 p.m. on Wednesday.
The tour will present rare WWII bomber and fighter aircrafts to 110 cities nationwide.
The display will include a vintage Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress “Nine O Nine”, B-24 Liberator “Witchcraft”, and P-51 Mustang “Toulouse Nuts.”
The B-17 is one of the only 9 in flying condition in the United States.
The P-51 fighter recently received the Oshkosh Grand Champion Award for restoration.
Visitors will be allowed to explore the aircrafts inside and out.
Adults will be charged $15 and children under 12 will be charged $5.
Thirty minute flights can be scheduled before and after the ground tour times.
