It’s going to be a windy weekend, with winds gusts as high as 50 mph late Saturday into early Sunday.
A lake wind advisory remains in effect for the Concho Valley until 6 p.m. Friday.
Friday will be mostly sunny with a high near 72 and breezy with a west to southwest winds at 10 to 15 mph, increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. On Friday night, winds will calm to 5 to 10 mph.
A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms moves into the area Saturday with a high near 70. Conditions will be breezy with southwest winds at 10 to 15 mph, increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
Wind speeds will increase Saturday night to 20 to 25 mph, increasing to 30 to 35 after midnight. Gusts of 50 mph are possible late Saturday into early Sunday.
