Wednesday sports update, 7/06

The Texas Rangers get back in the win column. Losers of the last three straight, Texas rallied past the Boston Red Sox 7-2. Shin Soo Choo hit a lead-off homerun off of David Price, while Robinson Chirinos hit a three-run blast off all-star closer Craig Kimbrel in the ninth.

The Rangers will be sending two players to this year’s All-Star game, Ian Desmond and ace pitcher Cole Hamels.

Dallas Keuchel is starting to return to form. A 5-2 win over the Seattle Mariners moves his record to 6-9 on the season. The Houston Astros lineup hit three homeruns in the game to support their ace pitcher.

Jose Altuve will likely be the single representative player for the Astros at the All-Star game.
