During the process of serving a warrant to a fugitive, SAPD’s Street Crimes Division, as well as U.S. Marshals, encountered a hostile suspect and discovered unlawful firearms in possession along with methamphetamine.

On October 18, law enforcement officers attempted to serve a Federal Arrest Warrant to 33-year old Monte D. Jarmon for Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon.

When officers arrived, they encountered a hostile assailant, later discovered to be 23-year old Christopher Wick. Wick continued to resist until he was eventually tasered and then taken into custody. Officers then found Jarmon in a bedroom and took him into custody also.

Jarmon was arrested for his warrant.  Wick was arrested for Interference with Public Duties. More charges may arise after the investigation is completed.

The Department’s Patrol Division and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Agents also assisted during this event.
