Video from China shows “motivational” trainer spanking employees for poor performance

Two Chinese bank executives have been suspended from duties after a video surfaced of a “motivational” trainer that appears to be spanking employees while chiding them for alleged poor job performance.

After that punishment, the trainer identified as Jiang Yang, allegedly cut the female employees’ hair and shaved the men’s heads.

A cellphone video of the trainer wielding a wooden stick striking each of the employees at least four times has been shared thousands of times on social media since the weekend.

The incident took place at a training session Saturday for more than 200 employees at Changzhi Zhangze Rural Commercial Bank in northern China.

Yang later publicly apologized for his actions.

“This incident was a great lesson to myself,” Yang said. “I need to improve my teaching methods, hoping to help more people
