***UPDATE*** Suspect At Large in Teen Shooting

UPDATE:

Police arrested the suspect wanted in connection with a teen shooting on Saturday night.

On the evening of Sunday, October 22, police arrested 17-year old Dorian Confer and charged him with Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon.

The victim’s name is still being withheld.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Detectives with the San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division are searching for a suspect who shot a teenager Saturday night.

Officers were dispatched to the hospital around 9:00 p.m. Saturday at the report of a shooting victim.

When Officers arrived, they learned the victim, 18, had been brought into the emergency room by a group of friends. The teen shooting victim underwent emergency surgery for a bullet wound to the abdomen and remains in serious condition.

Further investigation revealed that prior to the shooting, the teen was attending a party near SAC Avenue and Oxford Drive, when the victim became involved in a in a physical altercation with the suspect.

The wanted suspect is described as a white male in his early-to-mid-twenties, with dreadlocks.
