ORIGINAL:

On March 29, a couple on a motorcycle led the Coleman Police Department, the Runnels County Sheriff’s Department and the Texas DPS on a chase through three counties before they were captured in San Angelo.

The chase started in Coleman and escalated to speeds as high as 107 mph.

Once the journey came to town, law enforcement lost sight of the suspects and were contemplating giving up the search.

However, an alert over the radio stated that the motorcycle riders had crashed which led officers to search on foot.

An officer with the State Park joined the search and after about three-fourths of a mile, caught both of the suspects near Beacon Missionary Baptist Church.

The unidentified suspects have been charged by the DPS with evading arrest in a vehicle and on foot.

Authorities are investigating the reason behind why the suspects fled.
