UPDATED FORECAST: Storms develop west of San Angelo

After a day of extreme heat, as light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms develop to the west of San Angelo, the National Weather Service has updated the forecast for the city to include a ten percent chance of isolated storms for tonight.

Temperatures soared as high as 105 in San Angelo Wednesday, and the forecast calls for another day of highs past the century mark tomorrow, before a cold front rolls in with advanced storm and precipitation chances for the weekend. The latest forecast shows San Angelo’s best rain chances to be Saturday night into Sunday at 60 percent.

A heat advisory remains for Tom Green and Coke counties until 7 p.m. tonight.
