UPDATE: Tuesday’s lockdown at the U.S. Capitol has been lifted. Police say a person suspected as having a gun led to the lockdown.
One person was arrested after a vehicle stop, another fled on foot. The gun was allegedly found in the vehicle.

Congressman Charles Rangel tweeted from the Capitol say he and other members are on the house floor and safe.
