The Bexar County Sheriff’s Department responded to calls of an active shooter at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Medina Annex in San Antonio Friday morning.
At approximately 9:15 a.m., the department tweeted that they are inside the base clearing buildings. Additionally, the department is reporting victims on the scene, which is reportedly still active.
UPDATE: Bexar County Sheriff’s Department confirms two people are dead and deputies are still inside the building. No word as to whether it is still an active shooter situation for law enforcement.
JBSA-Lackland is currently on lockdown. All schools and child development centers are currently locked down.
