The body found behind Chick-Fil-A on Sherwood Way on Tuesday has been identified as Clarence Hill, 55, of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
After an investigation by J.P. McGuire, it is believed that Hill died of an unknown medical condition.
No autopsy was ordered.
The body of a man working behind Chick-Fil-A, near the new HEB on Sherwood Way and FM 2288, was found around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 20.
Based on a statement from Justice of the Peace, J.P. McGuire earlier today, the man was approximately 55 years old, from Green Bay, WI, and in San Angelo on work. The identification of the deceased has not yet been released.
It is believed that the man suffered from some medical condition while working. A Chick-Fil-A patron noticed the man working on a tractor-trailer upon arriving at the establishment. About 45 minutes later, they noticed he was no longer operating the equipment. Someone noticed the deceased to be slumped over on the job site and brought it to the attention of a nearby employee.
On the scene, there was no immediate evidence of foul play; therefore, no autopsy is immediately planned.
The San Angelo Police Department’s CSI Division was on scene and conducting a full investigation of the site to ensure no foul play was involved. Further decisions will be made as the body and scene are examined closer.
