A collision early Wednesday afternoon temporarily shut down one lane of traffic on one of San Angelo’s busiest streets.
The collision happened around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday on South Abe Street.
According to police on the scene, a white car and a blue SUV were both traveling southbound on Abe Street when the SUV tried to make a left hand turn onto Beauregard Avenue, turning in front of the car that was traveling in the inside lane. The collision sent the car crashing into a large street sign.
Both drivers were shaken but not injured. A citation was issued to the driver of the SUV for turning from the wrong lane.
