Two more Zika cases confirmed in Bexar County

Two additional cases of the Zika virus have been confirmed in Bexar County, bringing the total in the county to three. The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District confirmed the two additional cases of in Bexar County on Wednesday.

According to a release from the SAMHD, each of the three individuals acquired the infection while traveling abroad. Three additional individuals are under investigation for possible infection.

The two new cases of the mosquito-borne illness brings the state’s total to 12 including seven in Harris County and two in Dallas County.
