Two injured, one cited in crash on Sherwood Way

One person went to the hospital after two vehicles collided at approximately 1:45 p.m. Thursday.

Officer Brian Bylsma with the San Angelo Police Department’s Traffic Division said he was dispatched to the 4200 block of Sherwood Way for an unknown crash.

Upon his arrival, he learned a silver Jeep Patriot was exiting a private drive onto Sherwood Way, attempting to make a left turn when the crash occurred.

When the female driver of the Patriot pulled out, she met a red 2012 Volkswagen and the two collided in the left hand lane.

The driver of the Patriot complained about injuries from airbag and the driver of the Volkswagen was complaining of hip pain.

According to Bylsma, everyone refused medical attention at the scene. The driver of the Volkswagen went to the hospital by private vehicle.

The driver of the Patriot was issued a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way leaving a private drive, for having no insurance and driving while license invalid.
