Tuesday’s sports update, 2/23

Tuesday’s sports update by Brice Marcum:

An arbitrator has ruled that NFL owners misrepresented ticket revenues to the players union and has ordered the NFL to raise it’s salary cap by $2 million for the 2016 season, giving each team more money to sign free agents.

Cleveland Cavaliers star point guard Kyrie Irving says he missed Sunday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder because of bed bugs in his hotel room bed.  The team originally told the media that Irving missed the game because of the stomach flu, but Kyrie came clean on Monday.

In basketball, Texas beat Kansas 71-70.  Junior guard Isiah Tyler hit a 3 with about a minute to go that put the game away.
