The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department by sharing information about a subject wanted via the department’s Operation Game Thief program.
According to a bulletin shared by the SO, there is a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man responsible for dragging a buck into a wooded area near Lake Nasworthy on Dec. 3.
At approximately 5 p.m. Nov. 3, game wardens were notified that a man was doing “doughnuts” off Fisherman’s Road, around the Lake Nasworthy park entrance. Witnesses told the wardens that a white male, possibly in his early 20s, and wearing Under Armour camouflage was driving the vehicle.
They told the game wardens they saw the man drag a buck into a wooded area.
He was last seen driving a late model, white, single cab Toyota pick-up truck with a full front-end replacement bumper.
Operation Game Thief is the state’s wildlife Crime Stoppers program.
