Toyota flipped on side after driver runs red light and is struck by Saturn

No one was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Avenue N and College Hills Boulevard Tuesday afternoon. The impact caused a white Toyota  to flip onto its side in the intersection.

San Angelo Police Sgt. Shah said the Toyota ran the red light and was struck by a blue Saturn, which was making a right turn onto Beauregard Avenue.

Two passengers were in the Toyota. Shah said paramedics at the scene were still evaluating them, but there were no apparent major injuries. The driver of the Saturn had “bumps and bruises” but was otherwise uninjured.

The driver of the Toyota will be issued a citation for running the red light and “some financial responsibility issues,” Shah said.
