Toddler in Critical Condition after Nearly Drowning in Lake Nasworthy

A two year old girl pulled from Lake Nasworthy during a gathering at Goodfellow Recreation Camp on Saturday, September 30, is in critical condition.

During the event, the child was separated from her parents. When the group noticed that she was missing, everyone began to search the area.

A United States Army Firefighter discovered and pulled the child from the lake and began to perform CPR.

The little girl was unresponsive during the attempt to save her and was first taken to Shannon Medical Center before being flown to Cook’s Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth where she remains in the Intensive Care Unit.

The San Angelo Police Department’s Lake Division and Criminal Investigations Unit are still investigating.
