Thursday’s sports update by Brice Marcum:
The Dallas Mavericks lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder with a final score of 116-103. With that win, Oklahoma City pulled off a season sweep over Dallas. Dirk Nowitzki had a season high 33 points, while new addition David Lee only chipped in four. The Mavericks have faltered down the stretch to end the season and have now put themselves in danger of missing the playoffs.
The San Antonio Spurs easily defeated the Los Angeles Kings with a final score of 108-92. Tony Parker had a team high 23 points and the bench chipped in 44 more. Tim Duncan played 12 minutes but was held scoreless. The Spurs are now 48-9, a record that would set the gold standard for almost any other NBA season in history.
