Thursday sports update, 3/10

The Dallas Cowboys have re-signed middle running back Rolando McClain to a one-year deal worth approximately $4 million. Last season, McClain was suspended for the first four games of the season. Once he came back, he struggled with his weight and reportedly was never very effective.

Thursday should be much busier at Valley Ranch. Defensive end Chris Long, defensive tackle Cedric Thornton and quarterback Matt Moore are all scheduled to visit. The Cowboys could sign any one or all three of these players Thursday.

The Houston Texans had a huge first day in free agency signing quarterback Brock Osweiler and running back Lamar Miller. Combining those two with wide receiver Deandre Hopkins and Houston has it’s own version of the triplets.
