Thursday sports update, 3/03

Aubrey McClendon, a part owner of the Oklahoma City Thunder died in a car crash. McClendon was the founder and former CEO of Chesapeake Energy and had just been indicted by the U.S. Department of Justice. McClendon’s vehicle hit a wall at a high rate of speed.

The Rockets beat the New Orleans Pelicans 100-95 and the Spurs beat the Detroit Pistons 97-81. The Rockets shot three of 34 from 3-point range and turned the ball over 21 times, stats that would usually indicate a loss. The Spurs clinched a playoff berth with their win.
