Thursday’s sports update from Brice Marcum: The Dallas Cowboys have hired Greg Jackson to be their secondary coach for the 2016 season. With that move, the coaching staff is once again complete. Jackson was the defensive back coach at the University of Michigan in 2015 and prior to that, the San Francisco 49ers.

Basketball’s miniature version of the hot stove is heating up with many teams rumored to be looking at various trade deals. Thursday morning, the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks,  New Orleans Pelicans, Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando Magic and the Miami Heat are all said to be eyeing potential trades.

With the All-Star break over, the San Antonio Spurs will be back in action Thursday night against the Los Angeles Clippers.
