A three-vehicle crash at the 1900 block of Knickerbocker, in front of San Angelo Stadium,  slowed down traffic Saturday afternoon.

Officer Charles Flores with the San Angelo Police Department said a 16-year-old driver traveling in a gray Nissan Sentra failed to yield the right-of-way when leaving a private parking lot, striking a white Jeep Cherokee and causing it to spin. The spin caused the driver of the Nissan Sentra to come to a stop, causing a black SUV traveling behind to then strike the Nissan Sentra.

No major injuries were reported, but the female driver of the SUV was transported to a hospital to check on a possible broken wrist. Flores said the 16-year-old driver received a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way and a written warning for failure to display a driver’s license.
