Three injured in two-vehicle collision on US Hwy 67 and Old Ballinger Hwy

A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of US Hwy 67 and Old Ballinger Highway Thursday morning sent two people to the hospital by ambulance and one transported for medical treatment by private vehicle.

Tom Green County Sheriff’s deputies, San Angelo Fire Department personnel, Texas Department of Public Safety and the East Concho Volunteer Fire Department responded to the collision that was reported to dispatch at 7:20 a.m. Thursday.

DPS Trooper Dustin Henderson said at the scene that the driver of a maroon 2003 GMC pickup truck disregarded a stop sign on Old Ballinger Highway and collided with a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, traveling southbound on Hwy 67.

The driver of the GMC, 26-year old Daniel Saucedo, and his passenger were transported by ambulance to Shannon Medical Center for non-incapacitating injuries, Henderson said. The driver and sole occupant of the Chevrolet, 39-year old Jarrod Kohutek, was transported for medical attention by private vehicle.

Henderson said a citation for disregarding a stop sign will be issued to Saucedo.
