Suspect in Tuesday’s Amber Alert abduction in custody, 16-year-old girl still missing

The suspect in Tuesday’s Amber Alert abduction has been taken into custody and law enforcement have recovered the suspect vehicle. Sixteen-year-old Kristen Fritch, who was last seen at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Baytown, is still missing.

Kristen is described as a 5’1″ white/Hispanic female, weighs 135 lbs. and has brown hair and green eyes.

A press release from the Baytown Police Department said Jesse Dobbs, 21, who is allegedly Kirsten’s boyfriend, was arrested near Texas City Tuesday. Dobbs is also a person of interest in the shooting deaths of Kirsten’s mother and sister.

The release said at 10:29 a.m. Tuesday, Baytown Police responded to a welfare concern in the 5400 block of Louise Street. The caller advised they had not been able to reach their daughter and granddaughter and that the daughter had not shown up for work.

The family went to the residence and found the front door slightly ajar, prompting them to call the police.

Once officers arrived at the scene, they went inside and found the bodies of Cynthia Morris, 37, and her 13-year-old daughter, Breanna Pavilicek. Both victims appeared to have suffered at least one gunshot wound.

A preliminary investigation showed that a PT Cruiser belonging to Cynthia Morris was missing from the residence. That was the vehicle seized by police Tuesday.
