SAPD warrant yields drugs on Chimney Rock Lane

On Wednesday, investigators with the San Angelo Police Department’s Street Crimes Division executed a search and arrest warrant at a residence in the 2800 block of Chimney Rock.

The warrant, issued by Justice of the Peace Judge Fred Buck, named 60-year-old Michael C. Satterwhite to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. Satterwhite was located during a traffic stop and taken into custody without incident.

During a search of Satterwhite’s residence and vehicle, investigators located and seized a quantity of marijuana, suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia associated with the distribution of narcotics. Satterwhite’s vehicle, an H3 Hummer, was seized pending a Chapter 59 Hearing pursuant to forfeiture of contraband.

Satterwhite was transported to the Tom Green County Jail and charged with Third Degree Felony Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 and State Jail Felony Possession of Marijuana.

The Department’s Patrol Division and K-9 Unit assisted with the operation.
