Tall tales will be the focus of Family Day March 12 at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, 1 Love St. Visitors can create art, listen to stories and write their own tall tales during the event that runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Books brought to the event can be donated to Give More Hugs, a non-profit group which provides them to students in need.
Texas and American tall tales by Stoddard Owens and Kaitlynn LeBrasseur will be at 11 a.m. 2 p.m. and Sandy Pederson will tell string stories at noon. A special storytelling hour will be held at 1 p.m. in the museum’s two exhibits that are on display.
The Junior League of San Angelo provisional class will provide snacks and teach children about healthy eating in between performances.
Family Day is free and open to the public.
