The good news for San Angelo is the rainfall totals are expected to keep going up until the end of the work week. San Angelo and the surrounding areas have a good chance of storms Thursday. Some of these storms will be capable of producing very heavy rainfall in a short amount of time. Some areas could see one to two inches of rain in an hour. With recent widespread heavy rainfall any additional rainfall could produce flash flooding.
Rain is in the forecast through Saturday morning. For the rest of the work week, the coverage of storms should decrease and scattered storms will remain in the forecast. The main threats with these storms will be heavy rainfall and cloud to ground lightning.
