Six-year-old gets fingerprint from sleeping mom to unlock phone and buy Pokemon gifts

A 6-year-old child in Arkansas used her sleeping mom’s thumbprint to log into her cellphone, log on to Amazon and go on a $250 Pokemon shopping spree a few days before Christmas.

CBS reports Bethany Howell said her daughter Ashlynd ordered 13 Pokemon gifts for herself and told her parents she was “shopping” when they thought their Amazon account was hacked.

Howell was reportedly only allowed to return four of the items, after discovering her daughter’s spree was discovered. She said she told Ashlynd that Santa Claus learned about her fingerprint scheme and wouldn’t be bringing her all the gifts.
