The San Angelo Schools Foundation is hosting its fifth annual “Sip. Savor. Support Students.” event at 6 p.m. March 10 at the Fort Concho National Historic Landmark Stables, 210 Henry O. Flipper St. The event will be an evening of wine tasting, art, music and food.
SAISD culinary arts students will work with Rio Concho Catering to prepare a gourmet dinner for guests. Additionally, there will be a silent auction with artwork from San Angelo Central High School students and a live auction that will include an Argentinean dove hunt, an African safari and a private dinner party with Chef Tim Condon.
Central graduate Tommy Tarango will provide musical entertainment.
The event is the major fundraiser for the foundation. The San Angelo Schools Foundation supports SAISD students and teachers by providing classroom grants to teachers and college scholarship for students.
