Showers and thunderstorms predicted to start the new year

Showers and thunderstorms are possible across the Concho Valley Sunday night into Monday, beginning the new year.

According to a press release from the San Angelo National Weather Service, a few storms could go from strong to severe with large hail and damaging winds as the main hazards. People living in the northern Concho Valley have higher chances for the activity.

Temperatures will remain steady throughout in the mid 70s, but a slight cold front is expected to hit Tuesday night into Wednesday.
