Small Business Saturday – November 25

Stores are working together the Saturday after Thanksgiving to offer a fun and noteworthy shopping experience with free rides and prizes during Shop Small San Angelo, part of American Express’s Shop Small Saturday, an event that promotes local shopping.

Complimentary trolley rides will connect downtown San Angelo, Stadium Park Shopping Center, Southwest Plaza, Sunset Mall and the Village Shopping Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25.

“It’s convenient to order Christmas gifts online,” said Laura Lewis, vice president of membership services for the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, “but we think Shop Small San Angelo will provide shoppers with a fun experience that you can’t get in front of a computer, and it’s a fantastic way to support local stores that have amazing gifts.”

A Shop Small Pop-up Shop at 115 E. Concho Ave. will house vendors and artisans who don’t have traditional storefronts.

Activities aside from finding singular gifts include cash prize drawings, a scavenger hunt for more prizes and swag bags for shoppers while supplies last.

The event, which also goes by #ShopSmallSanAngelo, is made possible by a partnership with the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, Downtown San Angelo, Inc., SanAngeLocal and the ASU Small Business Development Center.
