A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for much of the Concho Valley until 10 p.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in San Angelo.
The NWS said that at 4:21 p.m., a strong thunderstorm was located near Eola, 13 miles southwest of Paint Rock. The storm was moving north at 25 mph. Nickle-sized hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph are associated with the storm.
The storm is expected to be near Lowake at 4:55 p.m. and Rowena at 5 p.m.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected Wednesday into Thursday.
