Search on for missing Irving woman ends after cellphone ping

An Irving woman, 24-year-old Tori Golka, was found Sunday after she went missing March 13.

As reported by the Houston Chronicle, Golka was last seen as she left her boyfriend’s home to pick up her 3-year-old son, but the boy was never picked up.

On Friday, Grapevine Police said Golka’s cellphone pinged off a tower in Aransas Pass, near Corpus Christi, which is about a six-hour drive from Irving.

It is unknown why her phone registered there, but Golka turned up Sunday in Portland, Texas.

Police did not reveal why Golka went to Portland or how long she had been there.
