SAPD seeking Best Buy robbery suspects

The San Angelo Police Department is continuing its investigation and search for two suspects who pulled a knife on a Best Buy employee while trying to leave the store with stolen items Monday night.

Police were dispatched to the store at 4325 Sunset Drive around 8:20 p.m. Monday for the report of a robbery. Officers interviewed employees who said two men were trying to leave the store with stolen merchandise when a store employee confronted the men.

A scuffle ensued and at some point, one of the suspects pulled a knife and pressed it to the employee’s arm. The employee disengaged the suspects and they fled on foot towards Batteries Plus, located in the same shopping center. The employee reportedly suffered a minor scrape during the scuffle.

According to an SAPD release, surveillance video shows one suspect appears to be a white male and the other appears to be a Hispanic male, both in their late 20s to early 30s. No arrests have been made at this time and SAPD investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspects.
