The San Angelo Police Department arrested 35-year-old Alegandro Herman Fevala in connection with an alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of a 17-year-old female San Angelo resident.
According to a press release, at approximately 9:30 a.m. on March 19, the SAPD received information regarding a kidnapping and sexual assault.
Members of SAPD’s Criminal Investigations Division then conducted a follow-up investigation where Fevala allegedly made contact with the victim after creating a fake social media account using the identity of the victim’s friend.
While posing as the victim’s friend, Fevala made plans to pick the victim up in a black Dodge Charger. When the victim approached the vehicle and opened the door ,Fevala allegedly pulled her inside and drove her to a secondary location where he sexually assaulted her. The victim escaped several hours after the abduction and sought help.
During the course of the investigation, detectives learned the assault occurred at an unoccupied residence in the 1300 block of North Jefferson Street and that the victim knew Fevala.
Fevala was located hours later after police observed his vehicle pulling into the residence on North Jefferson. He was arrested on an unrelated, outstanding warrant and transported to police headquarters for questioning.
Fevala was later transported to the Tom Green County Jail and booked for aggravated kidnapping bodily injury sexual abuse.
The investigation remains ongoing.
