San Angelo police are investigating the armed robberies of two local convenience stores, according to a release from the San Angelo Police Department.On Tuesday, police responded to a call of a robbery at the H&H Convenience Store, 2220 N. Howard St. The clerk told police that a Hispanic male in his 20s entered the store and displayed a gun, demanding cash from the register.
The suspect is described as being 5’6″ and thin, and wearing dark clothing. His face was covered during the incident.
Early Wednesday morning, police responded to a call of a robbery at the Stripes Convenience Store at 1821 N. Bryant Blvd. The clerk told police that two Hispanic males entered the store with their faces concealed and displayed a handgun.
One of the suspects was dressed in dark clothing; the other was dressed in a white shirt and dark pants. They demanded money from the cash register and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash prior to the police arriving on the scene.
The lead investigator of both aggravated robberies is Detective C Soto. The release said both investigations are ongoing and no further information is available. Police are in the process of determining if the robberies are related.
