SAPD investigates stabbing at Capri Apartments

The San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating a stabbing that occurred at approximately 10 a.m. Monday morning at the Capri Apartment Complex, 602 W. Avenue M.

Upon arrival, officers were directed to a female victim who was outside a second-floor apartment, suffering from an apparent stab wound. The victim, a 33-year-old San Angelo resident, was being cared for by bystanders. Officers took over first aid efforts until medics arrived and transported the victim to a nearby hospital where she later underwent surgery. The suspect, reportedly a Hispanic female in her early 20s, fled the scene prior to police arrival.
