SAPD Blotter: Wednesday arrests include marijuana possession, assault, evading arrest

Officers with the San Angelo Police Department made several arrests Wednesday which include possession of marijuana, assault, warrants and evading arrest.

Matthew Angelo Cortez, 17, was arrested for possession of marijuana < 2 oz. around 10:59 a.m. in the 600 block of Caddo Street.

Jesus David Garza, 40, was arrested for driving while license invalid around 9:40 a.m. in the 500 block of East 40th Street.

Selena Harwell, 43, was arrested for assault by contact around 7:54 p.m. after police were dispatched to the 5800 block of Berkley Road for the report of an assault. During the investigation, Harwell repeatedly kicked a responding officer’s legs.

Carlos Alberto Trujillo, 27, was arrested for evading arrest detention with vehicle around 7:11 p.m. after he was determined to be the suspect who fled a traffic stop earlier in the day. Police attempted to stop Trujillo around 5 p.m. for speeding in the 600 block of Abe Street, but Trujillo fled. A short pursuit ensued but Trujillo was not immediately located. He was found in the evening at his residence because of a follow-up investigation by patrol officers. Trujillo also received a citation for speeding.

Roger James Wolf, 52, was arrested for public intoxication around 8:59 p.m. after police were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Culberson Street for the report of an unwanted subject.
