SAPD Blotter: Tues-Wed arrests include aggravated kidnapping, burglary of a vehicle

The San Angelo Police Department made several arrests from Tuesday into Wednesday morning. Charges include aggravated kidnapping, warrants, burglary of a vehicle and criminal trespass.

TUESDAY

Richard Michael Castaneda, 31, and  Aurora Santana Del Toro, 26, were arrested for aggravated kidnapping after police were dispatched to the 4800 block of North Chadbourne Street for the report of an unknown problem where a man reportedly located a female whose hands were bound together. Subsequent to the investigation, detectives learned Castaneda and Del T, who are acquaintances of the victim, were with the victim on the evening of the 28th.  At some point the victim was tied up, assaulted and held captive for several hours.

Calvin Wayne Thames Sr., 30, was arrested for burglary of a vehicle around 4:30 p.m. following a vehicle burglary investigation in the 5600 block of Sherwood Way.

WEDNESDAY

Chance Robert Taylor, 23, was arrested for criminal trespass habit/shelter/suprfund around 4:39 a.m. after police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Field Street for the report of an unwanted subject. Taylor was found to be in violation of a criminal trespass warning for the listed address.
