SAPD Blotter: Monday arrests include warrants, possession of drug paraphernalia, meth

Officers with the San Angelo Police Department made several arrests Monday. Charges included possession of marijuana, no insurance, criminal trespass, warrants and unlawful possession of firearm by felon.

Rebecca Ann Adkins, 46, was arrested for an outstanding warrant and possession of marijuana < 2 oz. around 8:43 p.m. during a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Greenridge Drive. The driver, Myron Frank Carter, was arrested for outstanding warrants and was issued citations for no proof of financial responsibility, driving while license invalid and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Joe Ramon Barrera, 60, was arrested for outstanding warrants and driving while license invalid around 10:21 p.m. following a traffic stop in the 1800 block of South Hill Street.

Matthew Lucas Castillo was arrested for no drivers license and possession/delivery of drug paraphernalia around 6:04 p.m.

Lionel Gutierrez Macias, 65, was arrested for criminal trespass around 5:36 p.m. after police were dispatched to a criminal trespass in progress at the Walmart located at 610 W. 29th St.

Calvin Wayne Thames Sr., 30, was arrested for unlawful possession of firearm by felon around 3:25 p.m. after police located Thames driving a stolen vehicle in the area of Avenue C and Bryant Boulevard. A passenger, Xavier Matheo Rivas, 17, was in possession of methamphetamine and subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substance Penalty Group 1 >=1G<4G. Officers also found a stolen handgun inside the vehicle. Charges for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle are pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
