SAPD Blotter: Fri-Sat arrests include criminal mischief; evading arrest; assault

Officers with the San Angelo Police Department made multiple arrests of interest Friday and Saturday. Charges included unauthorized use of a vehicle; criminal mischief; evading arrest; and assault causes bodily injury.


Gregory Alan Bejil, 27, was arrested for outstanding warrants, unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of marijuana <2 oz. around 11:30 p.m. during an investigative stop on a suspicious vehicle. Bejil was operating a stolen vehicle that was taken from the Boys and Girls Club on Ben Ficklin Road. A passenger, Efren Pena, 36, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Michael Dewayne Harris, 41, was arrested for criminal mischief >=$100<$750 and resist arrest search or transport around 1:30 p.m. after police were dispatched to Henry’s Barber Shop, 3030 N. Chadbourne St., for the report of an unwanted subject. Harris damaged the property and resisted arrest. Another subject, Edward Vigil, 51, was arrested for public intoxication.

A 16-year-old male was arrested for evading arrest detention around 11:30 p.m. while police were attempting to investigate the report of a fight in the unit block of West 26th Street. The juvenile also received citations for minor in possession and disorderly conduct fighting.

Becky Ramirez Aguero, 41, was arrested for assault causes bodily injury around 1:20 a.m. in the 200 block of South Chadbourne Street.

Jeremy Ryan Jackson, 26, was arrested for public intoxication around 2:45 a.m. after police were dispatched to the 6200 block of S. US HWY 277 and 277 Frontage Road for the report of a person passed out in a vehicle, parked in the middle of the road.

Taylor Riojas, 22, was arrested for theft of property >= $100<$750.

Brianna Rivera, 22, was arrested for assault Class C family violence around 7:45 p.m. after police were dispatched to a residence in the 2600 block of Dallas Street for the report of a domestic dispute.

Matthew Scott Wofford, 26, was arrested for driving while license invalid around 10:30 p.m. following a traffic stop in the 500 block of Ellis Street. A passenger, Randy Campos, 24, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after police service dog Duke alerted officers to the presence of contraband inside the vehicle.

Darla Yarbrough, 58, was arrested for public intoxication around 6:30 p.m. after police were dispatched to the 5500 block of Sherwood Way for the report of a woman who had fallen down.
