SAPD Blotter: Arrests Wed-Sun include warrants, DWI, forgery, criminal trespass, assault

The San Angelo Police Department made multiple arrests Wednesday through Sunday. Charges in those arrests included forgery financial instrument, outstanding warrants, criminal trespass and resist arrest search or transport.

WEDNESDAY

Roberto Herrera, 32, was arrested for forgery financial instrument around 1:55 p.m. after police were dispatched Wells Fargo, 36 W. Beauregard Ave., for the report of a forgery in progress. Herrera attempted to cash a stolen check.

Byron Glenn Merriman, 42, was arrested for criminal trespass after police were dispatched to Walmart, 610 W. 29 St., for the report of a criminal trespass in progress. Merriman was in possession of Penalty Group 3 prescription drugs at the time of arrest and subsequently charged with possession of a controlled substance Penalty Group 3 <28G.

THURSDAY

Jordan Elizabeth Sheen, 21, was arrested for possession/delivery drug paraphernalia around 4:33 a.m. after police responded to the 4200 block of South Bryant Boulevard to assist another officer. Sheen also gave false information about her identity and was subsequently charged with fail to identify fugitive from justice. Sheen also had an outstanding arrest warrant for J/N possession of a controlled substance Penalty Group 1 <1G.

Rodney Lee Villafranco, 31, was arrested for criminal trespass and public intoxication after police were dispatched to the 100 block of Lowrie Street for several reports of an intoxicated subject in the area.

FRIDAY

Antonio Cabrera, 41, was arrested for aggravated assault date/family/house with weapon around 10:50 p.m. after he displayed a knife during an assault at a residence in the 1100 block of Linda Lee. Drive. Cabrera attempted to evade officers and resisted arrest. Cabrera was subsequently charged with evading arrest detention and resist arrest search or transport.

Mark Ryan Garcia, 21, was arrested for driving while intoxicated blood alcohol content >=0.15 around 9:53 p.m. after police were dispatched to Sherwood Way and Avenue N to investigate a traffic crash. Garcia initially fled the scene but was located by officers and found to be intoxicated. Garcia was issued citations for possession of open alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle and fail to control speed.

Amy Marie Gomez, 25, was arrested for assault causes bodily injury family violence around 3:38 p.m. after Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of State Street for the report of a domestic disturbance. Gomez was in possession of drug paraphernalia at the time of arrest and subsequently charged with possession/delivery drug paraphernalia.

Cory Alexander Hopson, 27, was arrested for resist arrest search or transport after police were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of North Van Buren Street for the report of a structure fire. The first officer on scene located a shed in the backyard that was engulfed in flames. The officer learned someone was inside the shed and entered it, located Hopson and pulled him out to safety. The San Angelo Fire Department responded to extinguish and investigate the nature of the fire. Hopson attempted to leave the scene during the investigation. Hopson was in possession of marijuana at the time of arrest and subsequently charged with possession of marijuana <2OZ.

SATURDAY

Rebecca Denae Baranowski, 22, was arrested for assault causes bodily injury family violence around 7:13 p.m. after police were dispatched to a residence in the 2800 block of Colorado Street for the report of a domestic disturbance.

Lacy Grace Clary, 32, was arrested for assault causes bodily injury family violence around 4:23 a.m. after police were dispatched to the unit block of East 23rd Street for the report of a domestic disturbance.

Katherine Rodriguez, 24, was arrested for fail to identify giving false/fictitious information around 2:53 a.m. during a traffic stop at North Johnson Street and Sherwood Way. Rodriguez gave false information about her identity. The driver, Strait Chance Daniel, 22, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for possession of marijuana <2 oz. Passenger, Destinee Nicole Taylor, 22, was arrested for possession of marijuana < 2 oz. after police service dog Duke alerted officers to the presence of illegal substances inside the vehicle.

Julian Sergio Garcia, 27, was arrested for possession of marijuana <2 oz. and possession/delivery drug paraphernalia around 9:01 p.m. during a traffic stop at Hudson and West 19 streets.

Marcial Martinez Jr., 32, was arrested for public intoxication around 6:11 p.m. after police were dispatched to A & B Ink, 1520 S. Oakes St., for the report of an alarm. Martinez was located at the back door, intoxicated.

Christina Nicole McGuirre, 31, was arrested for resist arrest search or transport and five outstanding warrants around 8:57 p.m. after police were dispatched to the Dollar Tree Store, 3329 Sherwood Way, for the report of a possible fight. Officers located McGuirre at a secondary location and advised she was under arrest for warrants. McGuirre resisted her arrest and resisted entering the patrol vehicle.

Joshua Scott Perez, 32, was arrested for assault causes bodily injury family violence around 11:22 p.m. after police were dispatched to the 3600 block of Juanita Street for the report of a domestic assault.

SUNDAY

Julio Pena Enriquez Jr., 31, was arrested for driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension/ w/o fine and an outstanding warrant for driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension around 11:23 a.m. during a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Gregory Drive.

Ismael Gallardo, 40, was arrested for public intoxication and four outstanding warrants around 12:31 a.m. in the 1600 block of South Chadbourne Street.

Daniel Robert St. Clair, 19, was arrested for public intoxication around 1:51 a.m. after police were dispatched to the 800 block of Glenna Drive for a welfare check. St. Clair was located staggering nearby on the Houston Harte Expressway.

Terrell Sohn Schneider, 48, was arrested for public intoxication and outstanding warrants around 7:31 p.m. near West 19th Street and Martin Luther King Drive.

Manuel Tanguma, 46, was arrested for public intoxication around 7:06 p.m. after police were dispatched to Lowe’s Grocery Store, 1926 N. Bryant Blvd., for a welfare concern.

Filiberto Torres, 34, was arrested for driving while intoxicated around 3:47 a.m. after police were dispatched to 1139 E. 19th St. in reference to an off-road traffic accident where a vehicle struck a fence and three trailers at 1110 E. 18th St., Bruton Trailer. The driver, Torres, was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Max Juan Velez, 34, was arrested for driving while intoxicated around 3:05 a.m. during a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Chadbourne Street.

Raul Reyes Villarreal, 33, was arrested for criminal trespass around 8:21 p.m. after police were dispatched to the 1800 block of West Concho Avenue for the report of an unwanted subject.

Rodney Lee Villafranco, 31, was arrested for public intoxication around 8:44 p.m. after police were dispatched to Taco Bell, 1504 Pulliam St., for an unwanted subject.
