SAPD Blotter: Arrests Monday-Tuesday include DWI, warrants, assault, parole violation

Officers with the San Angelo Police Department made multiple arrests from Monday through early Tuesday. Charges included public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia, outstanding warrants and driving while intoxicated blood alcohol content >=0.15.

Eric Ramon Benevides, 43, was arrested for outstanding warrants just before 4 a.m. Tuesday on Shannon Medical Center property, 120 E. Harris Ave.

Julio Cesar Correa, 26, was arrested for an outstanding parole violation warrant around 1:15 a.m. Monday during a traffic stop at Pulliam and N. Malone streets.

Jeremy Jordan Cozad, 23, was arrested for a parole hold-warrant around 8:15 a.m. Monday at the Adult Parole Office, 938 Arroyo Drive.

Samantha Leann Garcia, 24, was arrested for outstanding warrants just after 7 p.m. Monday after police were dispatched to a residence in the 4000 block of Sunset Drive (Sunset Mall area) for the report of an unwanted subject. Garcia also received a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jose Angel Gomez, 29, was arrested for driving while intoxicated blood alcohol content >=0.15 just before 1:30 a.m. Monday after police were dispatched to the 600 block of East Harris Avenue for the report of a motor vehicle collision. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Gomez, who was the driver that collided with a parked, unoccupied car. Several neighbors prevented Gomez from leaving the scene.

Bryan Matthew Hicks, 27, was arrested for public intoxication, and Scott Worsham, 40, was arrested for driving while intoxicated around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday morning after police were dispatched to the 700 block of Veterans Memorial Drive for the report of a motor vehicle collision. Hicks was the passenger in the vehicle that Worsham was operating while intoxicated.

Cody Michael Kerr, 27, was arrested for assault causes bodily injury family violence around 4:45 Monday after police were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Westwood Drive for the report of a domestic disturbance. Kerr was found to have assaulted a 39-year-old male.

Peighton Kade Martinez, 18, was arrested for public intoxication around 12:30 a.m. Monday after police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Vista del Arroyo Drive for the report of an unconscious person. Officers found Martinez lying on the side of the roadway, discovered by a passerby who was concerned for his welfare.

Carmel Mata, 29, was arrested for outstanding warrants, including parole violation, around 4:15 p.m. Monday after police were dispatched to the 500 block of Ellis Street for a civil dispute.

Robert Christopher Santellano, 25, was arrested for theft from person and assault causes bodily injury family violence around 10:45 p.m. Monday after police were dispatched to a residence in the 1900 block of South Irving Street for the report of a robbery. Subsequent to the investigation, it was determined that an assault and a theft from a 24-year-old female occurred.

Thomas Smith, 40, was arrested for public intoxication around 5:30 p.m. Monday after police were dispatched to the 300 block of Preusser Street for the report of a civil disturbance.

Melva Sue Tatum, 43, was arrested for outstanding warrants around 12:30 p.m. Monday after a traffic stop in the 2900 block of North Irving Street.
