San Antonio woman rams car multiple times, tries to pepper spray 4-year-old in road rage incident

A San Antonio woman was arrested Wednesday after allegedly trying to run a man over with her car before attempting to pepper spray the man’s brother and four-year-old nephew.

April Michelle Flores, 33, is facing a felony drug possession charge and a misdemeanor deadly conduct charge. She remains in the Bexar County Jail on a $15,000 bond.

According to the arrest affidavit, the victim in the case honked at Flores when she didn’t move forward at a green light around 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 20, at an intersection in southwest San Antonio.

Flores then allegedly crashed into the victim’s car when he tried to pass her. She pulled away and then came to an abrupt stop on nearby Bright Valley Drive. The victim followed her and got out of his car to confront her. Flores suddenly accelerated and tried to pin the man between the two cars, the affidavit states.

┬áThe victim was forced to jump on top of Flores’ hood to avoid being pinned. According to the police report, Flores then backed up and rammed his car again, which disabled it. The victim suffered a fractured bone in his right hand when he jumped off the hood. Flores then fled the scene, but returned minutes later, came to a stop and tried to pepper spray the victim’s brother and nephew as they were waiting for help. His brother, who was holding the boy, was able to turn away and avoid the spray, mysanantonio.com reported.

Flores was identified later the same day at a gas station and arrested by police.
