San Angelo may have a new city seal

The City of San Angelo could have a new seal following Tuesday’s City Council meeting.

The current City logo has been used since 2003, but has never been adopted as the corporate seal.

The City’s official corporate seal has remained unchanged since 1959, while the logo has changed twice since then.

A memo to City Council stated “This oversight is easily corrected with the passage of this ordinance, which will unify our branding.”

If approved the city seal will be the design of the Concho Rivers with the words “Concho Rivers” in a circle with the words “City of San Angelo, Texas,” engraved around the margin.

City Council meets  at  9 a.m. Tuesday.
