San Angelo received a good amount of rainfall this week – enough to put the city 5.51 inches above the normal year-to-date average. This week alone, the area has received 2.38 inches of rain at the San Angelo Regional Airport, Mathis Field.
For the month of May, the rain gauge is at 2.98 inches and for the year, 12.21 inches.
Friday, rain chances briefly come to an end and high temperatures will reach the upper 80s. Rain chances enter the forecast again late Saturday as another disturbance moves close enough to the area to bring the warm, moist air up from the Gulf of Mexico. The moist air combined with daytime heating could generate some isolated thunderstorms moving into next week.
